Where the Budapest Prosecco Cruises Leave From
Prosecco cruise Budapest location: the docks at Carl Lutz rakpart, Akadémia, Vigadó, Petőfi tér, Dock 10 and 11 and Batthyány tér, which boat uses which, and the nearest trams (Oct 2026).
Every prosecco cruise in Budapest boards on the downtown stretch of the Danube, almost all of them on the Pest bank from Margaret Bridge down to the Elizabeth Bridge. The Duna-Weser prosecco cruise uses three docks, depending on the departure: Carl Lutz rakpart Dock 0 by Margaret Bridge, Akadémia 3 by the Chain Bridge, and Vigadó 8/A on Jane Haining rakpart. Your voucher names yours. Budapest Boat Party’s Sip & Sail boards at Akadémia Dock 2, the Floating Lotus at Petőfi tér 9, and Silverline’s prosecco boat at Dock 11 by the Elizabeth Bridge. The Duna-Weser calendar is below; the map and the table after it show every dock.

Docks from each cruise’s GetYourGuide listing and the operators’ own sites, read on 30 October 2026; the Duna-Weser docks are from resellers of the same cruise.

Tram 2 is the one to know. It runs along the Pest embankment itself, stopping at Jászai Mari tér, Kossuth Lajos tér, Széchenyi István tér, Eötvös tér, Vigadó tér and Március 15. tér, so every Pest dock on the list is a short walk from a tram 2 stop.
Finding the right pontoon
The docks are floating pontoons on the lower embankment, reached by steps from the street, and several sit side by side. The two that catch people out:
- Akadémia 2 and Akadémia 3 are neighbours on the same stretch of embankment, used by different companies. The Sip & Sail and the Danube Beat board at 2; Duna-Weser’s cruises use 3. Check the number on your voucher against the sign on the pontoon.
- Danube Flow checks you in at Dock 4 on Carl Lutz rakpart, even on days the boat leaves from another pontoon. Danube Flow asks guests to go to Dock 4 first, at least 20 minutes before departure; check-in closes 10 minutes before.
Boarding on every boat opens about 15 minutes before departure, and none of them waits for latecomers. For the top deck, come early: in late October 2026 one Duna-Weser reviewer queued 40 minutes early and still found a line, and another, arriving 30 minutes before, was among the last to get a rooftop seat. Reviewers found the meeting point easy from the directions on the voucher.

When the dock changes
Departure points do move, usually because of the river. In summer 2026 the Danube at Budapest fell to record lows, and the regional water directorate’s reading at the Vigadó tér gauge was reported at 9 cm on 2 August. Mahart suspended its longer boat routes to Szentendre, Visegrád and Esztergom in July, while its Budapest services kept running. Reviewers felt it on the city cruises too. In the week of the 20 August national holiday a Sip & Sail sailing was cancelled for low water, and when the guests came back the next day the boarding point had moved (review dated 21 August 2026). Between 10 September and 4 October 2026 ten Floating Lotus reviewers had the pier changed, several of them on the day; three were told it was for low water, and at least four were sent across the river to the Buda bank.
The Floating Lotus’s departure times and meeting points can change with the weather, river conditions or closures; guests are told by message. The practical rule for every boat: book with free cancellation, and read your messages on the day before you set off for the dock.
High water is the other risk. In the September 2024 flood the Danube crested at Budapest around 830 cm, and the river was closed to small recreational craft. Floods at Budapest usually arrive days after heavy rain upstream in Austria and Slovakia.
Getting to the docks
- From the Parliament area: Kossuth Lajos tér on metro M2 and tram 2. Carl Lutz rakpart is two tram stops north, at Jászai Mari tér; the Akadémia docks are one stop south, at Széchenyi István tér.
- From the Buda side: cross the Chain Bridge on foot to the Akadémia docks, or take metro M2 from Batthyány tér, which is also the Buda-side dock.
- From Vörösmarty tér and Váci utca: the Vigadó docks, Petőfi tér and Docks 10 and 11 are all on the embankment below, a few minutes’ walk.
What each boat pours covers the drinks, and day, sunset or evening the times.

The low-water readings are from Economx (citing the regional water directorate) and VG.hu, July and August 2026; the 2024 flood level from Hungarian press coverage that September; the dock changes from dated GetYourGuide reviews (the Floating Lotus count from its 350 most recent reviews).
