Who Duna-Weser is

Duna-Weser Kft. sells its cruises through booking sites, GetYourGuide among them, rather than through a website of its own that we could find. It runs two products under its name on GetYourGuide: the prosecco boat tour, and a dinner cruise on a boat called the River Diva. The prosecco tour is not tied to one boat: Duna-Weser runs it on different vessels, and the deck layout, seating and heating vary from boat to boat.

Its three docks

The departure you book decides the dock. Resellers of the same cruise list three, all on the Pest bank:

• Carl Lutz rakpart Dock 0, by Margaret Bridge, opposite the tip of Margaret Island. Tram 2, Jászai Mari tér.
• Akadémia 3, by the Chain Bridge, opposite the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and beside the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial. Trams 2 and 2B, Széchenyi István tér.
• Vigadó 8/A, on Jane Haining rakpart a little south of Vigadó tér. Tram 2, Vigadó tér.

Your voucher names the dock and has a map. Akadémia 3 sits next to Akadémia 2, where Budapest Boat Party’s boats board, so check the pontoon number. Reviewers in October 2026 found the meeting point easy from the voucher directions.

What happens on board

• Boarding opens 15 minutes before departure, with a first glass of sparkling wine. Late arrivals cannot be taken, and a group has to board together.
• The drinks: Hungarian sparkling wine at the bar (a dry one always, a rosé or semi-sweet when available), self-service Aperol, Hugo, Rossini and limoncello spritzers, beer, homemade lemonade and water. Keep your glass for refills.
• The route passes Parliament, Margaret Island, Buda Castle, Gellért Hill and the bridges, with recorded English commentary between songs. It is not run as a party.
• Ages: under-18s with an adult, served no alcohol; children up to three free with an infant ticket, everyone from four on a standard ticket.
• Weather: it normally runs in rain, with an indoor lounge; open decks may close.
• Not allowed: outside drinks and food (a birthday cake is the exception), smoking or vaping indoors, speakers, and guests who are drunk. Small dogs can come on a lead and muzzled.

Duna-Weser’s evening boat is the River Diva, which boards at Akadémia 3. The Dinner Cruise with Live Music & Unlimited Drinks lasts about two and a half hours: a seasonal buffet with vegetarian options, live music, and cocktails, spirits, prosecco, wine, beer and soft drinks served to your table, then the rooftop deck after dinner if the weather allows. It is from US$111 a person (checked October 2026). Arrive 20 to 30 minutes early; tables follow booking size, and window seats cannot be guaranteed.
