A Budapest boat party and a prosecco cruise are different evenings. The boat party is Budapest Boat Party’s Danube Beat: a two-hour cruise with a DJ, a dance floor crowd and an optional after-party at a club, for guests aged 18 and over. A prosecco cruise is a 75-minute sightseeing hour with the bar open, which most boats sell to mixed ages. The Danube Beat is from US$26 a person on GetYourGuide for the boat-only ticket, rated 4.1 from 1,230 reviews (checked October 2026). Its calendar is below.
The Danube Beat boat party
Budapest Boat Party runs it on the MS Stadt Wien from Akadémia Dock 2 on the Pest bank, beside the Chain Bridge. Doors open at 22:45 and last entry is 23:00. The night lasts about three hours, including a two-hour cruise between Margaret Bridge and Rákóczi Bridge, which the operator still calls Lágymányosi Bridge, its old name. GetYourGuide lists 2h 30m and describes a 3-hour party; Budapest Boat Party’s own page says 3.5 hours. It runs on selected nights, roughly weekly: the operator’s site shows one date at a time (31 October 2026 when we checked), and the calendar below shows the next dates. On board: a live DJ, a professional photographer, a free cloakroom and free bottled water, and Mexican street food from Casa Mexa for sale.
It is sold in four tickets, and the cheapest does not include drinks:

The rules are firm. Everyone must be 18 or over with valid ID, last entry is 15 minutes after the advertised start, and guests who arrive visibly drunk can be turned away without a refund. Parts of the boat are open, so dress for the weather. The party runs in almost all weather; if it has to be cancelled or postponed, guests are contacted beforehand.
Who it suits: groups who want to dance, stag and hen groups, anyone planning to carry on at a club. Who should look elsewhere: anyone who wants to see the sights in conversation, or a group with someone under 18.
The middle option: Sip & Sail
Budapest Boat Party also runs Sip & Sail: The Prosecco Cruise from the same dock: 75 minutes on the river with 90 minutes of prosecco and prosecco cocktails, a photographer and background music, also 18 and over only. It is the early-evening, talk-and-look version. On Viator the same cruise is sold as the Budapest Sip and Sail Danube Cruise with Unlimited Prosecco, rated 4.6 from 720 reviews (October 2026).
Its two sailings a night board at 18:00 and 20:00, with the boat leaving 15 minutes later and back at 19:30 and 21:30. From 1 November 2026 Budapest Boat Party runs them Thursday to Sunday. Over Christmas they sail every night from 21 to 23 December and from 27 to 30 December, with none from 24 to 26 December or on 31 December and 1 January; Thursday to Sunday resumes on 2 January 2027.
